Tales of the Uncanny, Incredible & Spectacular

I don't know if it's the DC reboot, but I've been kind of disillusioned by comics lately. Luckily there are great innovative titles like Casanova to keep me coming back to the store. Last issue featured more male full frontal nudity than I've ever seen in a mainstream comic and this week the main character is fighting killer Pandas. What more could you ask for? Batwing was one of the new DC titles that I really enjoyed. Through exploring the "Batman of Africa" that book is isolated from what's happening in the larger universe. Writer Judd Winick really shines when he's given free reign to fully create his own settings and this is the kinda title you'd never think DC would publish. Also out this week are new issues of Sweet Tooth, Thunderbolts, X-Men Schism & the gorgeously illustrated X-23.

Tim Curran:

You know Winick is one of Pedro's friends from the fourth season (S.F.) of Real World, right?
