I miss the days when sex and gay magazine were taboos. It was both nerve wrecking and great experience to head to that one section at the back of a magazine store, heart pounding, just to pick up a black plastic wrapped magazine. You'd get a few other magazines at the same time to make it less obvious. I miss the smell of a real magazine. It's different. It was a much more innocent time. Muscle & Fitness or Flex are soft core alternatives, the guys are the closest thing as being naked in those magazines, glistening in sweat and baby oil. It's amazing how times have changed. Sometimes I am not sure if the change is a good thing or a bad thing. And yes, I also remember collecting all the flyers and mail order catalogs in the mail. AMG, Falcon, Colt, Frederick of Hollywood, Adam and Eve, etc. they often have high glossy catalogs for a handling fee of 3 dollars or so and you'll get heaps of mailings every month. Amazing times.

Matt - it was sure a different time - I probably spent thousands on porn magazines, and you did not just go anywhere to buy gay porn-you either ordered it from some sketchy company or went to NYC, LA or San Francisco. As for Mr. Stryker, he was a beauty but he ruined it for me by constantly yapping - he thought his constant talking was sexy, and I thought it was dumb.
