I'm not usually a big fan of obituaries or remembrances but for Bea Arthur I'll make an exceptions. She passed away this weekend at the age of 86. Growing up I was a huge Golden Girls fan and an even bigger fan of Dorothy Zbornak. When I was older I watched Maude reruns and learned what a ground breaking feminist icon she was. Some of those Maude episodes still hold up today and Golden Girls can still make me laugh out loud.
I've been netflixing like crazy lately, overdosing on bad gay movies. I have seen some that I really liked (Shelter) and some that were pretty good like Latter Days. Steve Sandvoss stars as a confused Mormon missionary in Latter Days and I found some sexy shots of him floating around the web.

Latter Days is a favorite of mine, too! "C.R.A.Z.Y." is another awesome film you all should check out...Marc-Andre Grondin is extraordinary...and speaking of actors, I would watch anything graced with the talents of Joseph Gordon Levitt (so amazing) or Steve Sandvoss; and since loving Shelter... Trevor Wright or Brad Rowe.

Have to weigh in and say what a great guy Steve Sandvoss is. I photographed him for several years and he's as warm and delightful in person as he is onscreen in Latter Days. You can see a lot more pix of him here: http://www.tomsbodypix.com/Steve_Sandvoss.html
And yep, he's decidedly straight but very supportive and respectful of our community.

Latter Days is one of my all time favorite gay movies - makes me cry every time.
Steve Sandvoss stole my heart in that movie. He is one beautiful man. LOVE him.
And yes, I agree with a previous poster - I loved Jacqueline Bisset in that movie.

Loved latter days. It makes me cry everytime I see it. It also ignited a very hot lust for Steve, but I found out hes straight. At least we got to see his balls... you did notice that in the first picture right? You didn't mention it...

Shelter is a new favorite. Latter Days was OK. I love good coming-of-age stories. Get Real, You'll Get Over It (French).. just watched the Curiosity of Chance, which was quite good. Outside the box... Quinceanera was great!! And East Side Story has its issues but I enjoyed it anyway.

One of my favorite films and one of the best "gay" films I've ever seen. And Sandvoss is just very, very cute (sexy, hot, whatever you want to call it). And his body is just wonderful.

I enjoyed SHELTER! I'm always happy to watch a gay movie that doesn't end with anyone dying, getting beaten up or with misery. Just a good old fashioned gay romantic dramadey.
Plus the older dude was hot!

I really loved LATTER DAYS. Compelling story, well-written and beautifully acted. Plus, my boyfriend Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in it. I enjoyed SHELTER, too.
