Joss Whedon is hard at work on his midseason Fox drama Dollhouse but he still has time for some sidework. Having finished Astonishing X-Men and Runaways for Marvel Comics he's moved onto Dr, Horrible. The web based musical stars Neil Patrick Harris and Nathan Fillion. Check out the just released trailer.
I was really bummed to see Kourtni & Matt in the bottom 3 couples on last night's So You Think You Can Dance results show. I really liked their performance Wednesday and thought it was one of the best. I think Jessica is way lucky that Will's her partner, otherwise she would be gone already.
Marvel Comics has released two teaser images for a 2009 project. Any guesses on the artist/characters? Looks Frank Miller-esque, but why would the X-Men have guns?

I'm thinking Rouge. The hair, for one thing. And after Messiah Complex, I think she'd need a gun if she were acting as a field-agent or whatnot, yeah?

I wonder if the "X" is just a red herring. Maybe the white stripe is for Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine and the dude with the red eye is Fury. That would explain the guns. I think the time is ripe for a SHIELD series.

Hey, Jean is the best of the X-Men. And she can't stay dead, she's probably the most powerful mutant of all time. Especially as the White Phoenix of the Crown. I certainly hope it IS her, haha.

I think the "X" is meant to throw people off. It probably has nothing to do with the X-men. The dude in the red glasses looks like he's holding a cane; perhaps he's Matt Murdock? As for the girl, I say (okay hope) it's the real Jessica Drew.

The drawing does look like Miller's work. I think that Marvel would like you think Scott and Jean, but if you look closely, some of those strands of hair are white......it's Rogue baby!

All I can say is that if it's Jean, I quit. The bitch needs to stay dead. The other picture does appear to be Cyclops. The Xs look kind of tacky, like they photoshoped a letter x on afterward. My guess is that the guns don't really have anything to do with this series, and it's really just Marvel's way of saying "hey, Frank Miller is here." You know how they are with cover art sometimes...I'm surprised Wolverine isn't on the cover.
