Last week I featured the awesome photography of Justin Monroe. He shot the cover and a photo spread in a recent issue of GayTimes. I think these pictures are the perfect relief for the summer heat.

Superhottie Chris Lowell from Veronica Mars and the upcoming Private Practice is also in a band. Chris took last summer off to travel around the country with his band Two Shots for Poe. They filmed the whole adventure and you can check out a preview on their site. There's even a blink and you'll miss it shot of Chris skinnydipping.

With dueling Comic Conventions in Philly and Charlotte this weekend there were tons of new images and news coming out. I had a lot of fun digging through the quarter and 50 cents bins in Charlotte. I bought way too much and I'll feature some of the great finds this week.

I really love these old school style covers for the upcoming Spider-Man: One More Day. Maybe we should have a retro comic contest for Dudetube.
