I have to say that I'm really enjoying the "Lightning Strikes" JLA/JSA crossover. The only thing I hate are those Michael Turner covers. I really wish they weren't variants because Phil Jimenez's covers are awesome. It looks like they're interlocking so hopefully we'll have a poster some day.
So I didn't really think Melinda was going to win Idol but I definitely enjoyed having her in the competition. I'm so bored with Blake & Jordin that I won't even watch the finale. Does anyone else think that Blake's beatboxing is horrendous? I loved that Melinda had one of the most polished and controlled voices in Idol history. She knew when to improvise and when to stick to the melody. I'm not sure what her chances for recording success are but with the right direction she'll do fine.
The annual Cosmopolitan UK nude centerfold issue is out. Two of the standout hotties this year are motorcycle racer James Ellison and TV presenter Rick Edwards.

You guys who make comments like Blake's not the only one who can do it are so funny. Um, news flash. Melinda's also not the only person in the world who can sing. For that matter, no one on american idol hold's a patent on singing talent, so drop the argument as it doesn't hold water. Blake to win baby.

Melinda is by far the best singer in the competition. Jordin is good also. Blake is unique but clearly should not have made it to the finale. Melinda will have a great career just like Chris Daughtry, who finished in fourth place last year but has the best selling album of the AI contestants from last season.

Um... yeah, I'd say you are definitely in the minority about Blake. Is he the only person in all the world who can beatbox? Nope. However, he's the only American Idol contestant to make it anywhere who can, which makes him completely original. I absolutely love Blake. Not only can he beatbox and sing, but he knows about musical arrangement, how to put a song together and how to write his own musics. How many american idols contestants can add that to their resume. Extremely few, if any. Blake all the way.

Melinda was unquestionably the best singer, but she was boring. For weeks I've been hoping for a Blake/Jordin showdown and I got exactly what I wanted.
I happen to like the beatboxing, but even if you don't, you have to admit Blake is ridiculously hot.

Melinda was by far my favorite. I too made a promise to stop watching once she got kicked off.
The one time Blake's beatboxing was good was his cover of Bon Jovi's song. Otherwise, I would agree that it's overrated.
As far as who'll win: Blake will get all the 25 and under votes, Jordin 25 and over, making Blake the winner.

Melinda was my fave from the get go. But, at the same time, I knew she wouldn't win. She's too talented for the AI audience. She's too sophisticated. I'm dying for her to start her career now. As someone said to me, Clive Davis needs to call her now!

Ugh, Blake's beatboxing is so blah. It's not original, he's not the only one who can do it, he can't even do it well. I hate the judges for always calling him original and unique.

I agree that she was the best vocalist in the AI group this year but i think overall Jordan deserves to win, she can sing AND she is a fun performer which is important.
